EQUIPMENT

Industrial product turners

The turner changes the product’s orientation for the next operation. Documented applications include mineral wool bundles before palletising and reel tilting in paper handling lines.

How it works

The product is supported throughout the movement, then presented in the required position at the discharge point. Its shape, weight and rigidity determine the support arrangement and movement path.

The station sits between two line transfers. Pickup, turning and placement are coordinated with incoming products and the availability of the next station.

Mineral wool bundles

On an insulation palletising line, bundles are centred, turned and glued before stacking. Turning prepares them for the following operations.

Paper reels

Reel tilting is one of the equipment functions in a paper handling line. Support and pickup positions are specified for the reel being handled.

The product specification identifies permitted contact areas, incoming orientation and the required discharge position. It provides the basis for supporting the load throughout the movement.

  • Product shape, dimensions and weight.
  • Load rigidity and permitted gripping areas.
  • Transfer positions and heights.
  • Arrival rate and space around the station.

The turning angle, path and cycle are defined for this application.
