EQUIPMENT
Nozzle adhesive application units
The nozzle application unit deposits adhesive where it is needed for assembly. Adhesive delivery is coordinated with the position and movement of the product at the bonding station.

How it works
The bonding pattern identifies the surfaces to coat and the required amount of adhesive. It determines nozzle positioning and operation as the product passes through the station. Adhesive supply and settings depend on the selected adhesive.
In a panel bonding and laminating line, the unit applies adhesive before the components are positioned for assembly.
Key features
Materials and adhesive
The surface materials and the adhesive’s conditions of use determine compatibility with the application system. The process is defined around the required bond.
Information for the bonding pattern
- Surface dimensions and materials.
- Application locations and adhesive quantity.
- Product position in front of the nozzles.
- Throughput and downstream assembly operations.
Application performance is specified for these manufacturing conditions.
The nozzles and adhesive supply must remain accessible for the maintenance required by the selected adhesive. The layout takes cleaning and restart procedures into account.
A new product may require different coating areas and a different deposition pattern. The range of products and frequency of changeovers determine which adjustments the station needs.
